About

One person, sourcing pieces worth keeping.

What this is

Moveable Goods is a one-person operation. Every piece listed here was found, assessed, and photographed by the same person who will answer your email — there is no buying team, no warehouse of stock bought sight-unseen, and no drop-shipping.

That constrains how much can be listed at once, which is the point. A piece only appears here once it has been examined in person and judged worth passing on.

How pieces are chosen

Three things decide it: construction, history, and patina. Construction, because a piece built to be repaired can be kept for another fifty years. History, because knowing who made a thing and when is part of what you are buying. Patina, because wear that was earned honestly is not damage.

Attribution is stated only when it can be supported. Where a maker or date is uncertain, it is described as uncertain rather than guessed at confidently.

On condition

Nothing is restored to look new. Pieces are cleaned and made structurally sound; marks, repairs, and signs of age stay, and are photographed rather than shot around. If a detail matters to you, ask before buying — the answer will be specific.

Where it operates

Sourcing happens across Europe, with pieces prepared and dispatched from Portugal. Shipping is worldwide, packed by hand per piece and quoted per destination — the cost is confirmed with you before payment rather than estimated at checkout.
